Collage workshop THIS weekend!

How do we make a portrait of someone or someplace with the medium of collage? Come and join me on the 4th Floor of the gallery in the Pavilion (turn left when you reach the top of the escalator) between 11am - 3pm on Saturday* AND Sunday. (To see me on the Saturday, please come before 2pm). Here you will get to experiment with my methods of collage-making with found paper, fabric and other media to make an impression of your fellow Family Fuze friend or of our costumed models! No pre-registration required (Drop-in style).
Ewan McNeil, my artist dad (who used to take my sister and I to the VAG's Family Fuse or "Super Sundays!"), will be hosting an intimate and fun assemblage workshop in Room 301 (3rd Floor of the VAG Annex). Space is limited, so sign up ahead of time in the lobby this weekend for one of the following workshops to try your hand at creating a small unique sculpture made of found objects...

Saturday, March 5th
12pm + 1pm

Sunday, March 6th
12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm

No previous art-making experience necessary. Bring the wee ones and enjoy a fun and potentially messy weekend at the art gallery! FREE for Vancouver Art Gallery Members and Children under the age of 12, when accompanied by an adult. For more information please visit their website.

While you're around, be sure to join more of the weekend's workshops offered by hip-hop dance performers Dedos & The Now or Never Crew and Project Soul Crew, or partake in a screenprint workshop combining digital images with text presented by Malaspina Printmakers and see experimental electronic music and video performances by students from Burnaby North High who have created pieces during a project with The Western Front.
