Show in a land far far away... (in Port Coquitlam)
This weekend will be the opening of Transitory/Transit Story, a group exhibition featuring local artists' work (including my work) in Port Coquitlam's Leigh Square Community Arts Village. Our work in the show reflects the experiences of public transit. As the curators say, "On transit, anything can happen: friendships form, affairs hatch, books are read, violence erupts, babies cry, packages fall. This all happens while the city—an animated backdrop—emerges and subsides."
From June 13 to July 15 artists from across the Lower Mainland examine the economics, relationships, philosophies, messages, politics, observations and emotions associated with our transit system. Hope to see you at the opening next Saturday!
